Checked 14 October 2026. This page is the written companion to the Play button on the home page. The database pages already live on pokesurvivor.com, so I do not copy the full Pokédex.

What I checked

Checked the official guide, repository and itch metadata on 14 October 2026. The itch Published timestamp is 11 October 2026 at 00:38 UTC, resolving its 11/10/2026 text. Official news has entries from 8 October onward; the itch publication date is not proof of the first playable build.

How a session works

The game contains 966 playable Pokémon across 9 regions. Start with the partner selection, then grow the collection through play. On PC, move with WASD or arrow keys, swap moves with 1–4 or Q/E, and pause with Esc. On a landscape phone, drag for the joystick and use the top-right pause control. The site can be added to a home screen.

Latest official news and shiny rules

The 14 October news adds Gmail linking for account recovery; the 13 October update adds an Arceus encounter at minute 30 and resets the all-time leaderboard. Wild shinies have odds of 1/4096; gacha shinies have odds of 1/100 per pull. These are different encounter systems.

The author’s itch page also describes an offline solo download that saves locally in the browser. Co-op, cloud saves and leaderboards require the online site. The repository’s local-save instructions describe that offline configuration; they do not override the live site’s account-save FAQ.

Co-op, saves, and gacha tickets

Co-op allows up to 4 players, shared experience, and revives. Daily and weekly tasks, 127 achievements, public profiles, and a leaderboard are on the official site. Cloud saves need an account or Google sign-in. Guest play does not keep the save. Region gacha spends tickets earned in game. The guide says real money cannot buy them.

License and the coin rumor

Code is MIT. Sprites are CC BY-NC 4.0 (PMD SpriteCollab). The README also says there is no official token or NFT. A price page for a “PokéSurvivor coin” is not this project.
