Pokémon Survivor Burst guide for a first clear

Checked 14 October 2026. There is no official strategy manual. The route below is rewritten from the namu.wiki guide, which is baselined on v9.0.1, not on the 12 October 2026 patch.

What I checked

This route combines the v9.0.1 community guide recorded in the 14 October content research with dated author announcements. The wiki returned 403 during this audit. We did not complete a Classic run; opening stats below remain attributed community values, not measurements from playing 9.0.3.

The opening three

The wiki lists three starters and their opening stats. You will raise all three eventually, because each one roots an unlock tree.

StarterHPSpeedWhy the wiki likes it
Bulbasaur1152.35Piercing leaves, evolves early at level 22
Cyndaquil922.76Highest damage, lowest HP, passive under 50% HP
Mudkip1122.32Heals 8% max HP each level; the stable pick

What a formal Classic clear is

Use Classic as the first goal. The author says its clear unlocks Rush for that Pokémon, and a Rush clear unlocks Tower. The 9.0.2 notes lock Classic leaderboard statistics at 15 minutes even when a run continues. The older community guide places an Ultra Boss at 11:15; that exact timing has not been freshly tested here.

Consejos para empezar: elige un inicial, aprende sus ataques y completa Classic para abrir Rush con ese Pokémon. Después, completar Rush abre Tower. Son reglas publicadas por el autor; este resumen no promete una victoria.

A first-run route

This is a practical order based on the documented systems, not a tested fastest-clear build.

  1. Install the correct platform launcher and confirm the game version. Learn Confirm/Burst and Dash in the controls page before starting.
  2. Choose one starter and work toward its Classic clear. The community guide suggests Mudkip for sustain, while describing Cyndaquil as less forgiving.
  3. During the run, collect experience and choose upgrades that support the attacks and passive you already use. The author describes attack, passive and evolution combinations as the build system.
  4. Use earned progression rewards in the Kecleon shop. It was introduced in 3.0 for permanent upgrades; training and equipment are separate systems added in 6.0.
  5. After the Classic clear, try Rush with that same Pokémon, then Tower. Expand the roster by checking each locked Pokémon’s displayed requirement.

In-run picks and the permanent shop

Reroll and Ban were introduced in the author’s 2.0 notes. Older community notes describe holding Z or D and three uses each; verify the bindings and remaining count shown in your build.

The community guide prioritizes Kecleon upgrades, then training, equipment and Mega or Z-move systems. That is strategy advice, not an official spending requirement. Exact experience formulas and post-level-100 values have not been independently checked against 9.0.3 and are omitted here.

Questions

How do you play Pokémon Survivor Burst?

Move one Pokémon, let attacks fire, pick one of three cards on each level, and survive Classic for 15 minutes. Full key list is on the controls page.

Which starter should I take first?

The v9.0.1 community notes call Mudkip the stable pick and Cyndaquil the glass cannon. All three start unlock trees, so the choice is not permanent.
